Thanks for this! I am wondering if some of these interviews are also on the MPI DVDs of the original series. I am saddened by the fact that I didn’t know about festivals back in the ’80s and missed seeing Joan Bennett.

Over the years I had spoken to many people associated with Dark Shadows, but, sadly, Joan Bennett was not among them. Not sure whether these are culled from the interviews presented by MPI.

Ed – These long disappearances of yours are starting to concern me. Were you off making the movie adaptation of “Blog of Dark Shadows” while the original small-screen version languished? We’ve all been there before. Good to have you back at any rate.

I’ll tell, you, Rob, I think the movie turned me off SO much – I was so dismayed by what they had done with what I felt was the franchie’s big shot for futher longevity – that it turned me off to the whole idea. Add to this the fact that news on Dark Shadows seemed to dry up shortly thereafter. However, I’ve got my eyes out for news and will try and post more frequently. As always, I welcome contributions from others.

These interviews were not used for the MPI releases…..the ones on the MPI videos were done specifically for the DVD (and before the VHS) releases. It would’ve been cool to have this as a bonus feature on the Complete Series release, though…..
