Fearnet.com caught up with screenwriter Seth Grahame-Smith at Wondercon and during that conversation he not only briefly talks about the latest on Bettlejuice 2, but he discusses the tone of Dark Shadows, seemingly holding out hope that the Tim Burton directed film will still feature some darker elements in addition to the Addams Family-like humor.

Once bitten (ahem), twice shy. I’m having a very hard time believing anything the creative team behind this mess has to say now, considering their dubious track record of truth up to this point. Everything I hear from them, rightly or wrongly, just has the ring of PR spin to me, a desperate attempt totry and win back a wildly disappointed fan base. Color me skeptical… .

They already made Beetlejuice 2. It stars Johnny Depp and will be released May 11.

Burton and Depp are dead to me…I’ll never watch or pay money to see one of their films again.
